5 Recommended Resources

It has been a big week for so many friends who have released wonderful resources into the world. What a joy to cheer one another on! I have read/used these resources & can heartily recommend them!

1 - Our family already uses Concert Conversations. We like them so much we bought a set for every small group leader in our church. They just came out with a Kids Edition, for ages 5-12. The goal is to add fun, depth, & intentionality to your conversations. I will say when the Kids Edition came in the mail, my teen girls & I dove right in! We had some great chats & we are well over 12!

2 - It Takes More than Love: A Christian Guide to Navigating the Complexities of Cross-Cultural Adoption by Brittany Salmon. I had the chance to endorse this & here’s what I said: “As a cross-cultural adoptive mom, I wish I had had this book when we adopted over a decade ago. This is a rich resource for not only the adoptive family, but for their entire community. Brittany speaks from years of experience & education—she’s a seasoned mom as well as a strong & gracious advocate for first moms & adopted children. She centers the right stories & the right wisdom. The adoption community has needed this book for far too long. I’m so glad to have it now.”

3 - Humble Moms: How the Work of Christ Sustains the Work of Motherhood by Kristen Wetherell. I love how Kristen’s heart for moms is shaped by her love of the gospel of grace. Moms, this book will refresh you!

4 - The Servant King: A Study of the Gospel of Luke by Hope Blanton & Christine Gordon. The gals of At His Feet Studies make Bible study so accessible. These books guide you through scripture, allowing you to dig in & prayerfully consider how you might apply it to your life. If you have trouble getting in the Word every day, grab one of these studies to help you out.

5 - When I opened the box of Love God Greatly Bibles & prayer journal, my girls immediately asked if they could have one & I was happy to share. This Bible is created by women, for women, & is designed to help women grow in their faith & see God’s heart for the world. The translation is NET & the Bible has lots of features to help you grow. So glad my girls love it!
